Construction Defect Claims Examiner

About the role

The Construction Defect Claims Examiner will manage complex construction defect claims from investigation through resolution, evaluate coverage, liability and damages, review construction plans, building codes and specifications, and collaborate with policyholders, builders, attorneys and other stakeholders to develop exposure assessments and resolution strategies, including handling advanced coverage questions, risk transfer, mediation and litigation.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a claims professional handling construction defect or similar complex insurance claims.
• Strong analytical and investigative skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to interpret construction plans, building codes and specifications.
• Technical judgment in assessing coverage, liability and damages.
• Must be based in the United States.
