Compliance Specialist- Associate

About the role

The Associate Regulatory Compliance Specialist at Independence American Insurance Co reports to the Senior Manager, Compliance and is responsible for end‑to‑end regulatory change management, including monitoring new laws, analyzing applicability, communicating requirements to business owners, maintaining a regulatory knowledge repository, supporting audits and investigations, and managing compliance timelines and risks.

Requirements

• Associate’s Degree or equivalent work experience (one year of relevant experience equals one year of college)
• At least 1 year of internal audit, legal, compliance, insurance, government program, or related experience
• Experience in health insurance compliance, property & casualty insurance compliance, health care compliance, law office law review, or consulting for companies such as NILs Insource, Lexis Nexis, West Law, etc.
• Experience in banking compliance, higher education compliance, privacy and IT security compliance, manufacturing compliance, or biomedical compliance is not considered relevant
