Compliance Operations Associate - São Paulo (Hybrid)

About the role

The Compliance Operations Associate joins the Compliance team to execute risk‑based reviews of business customer onboarding across Brazil, Colombia and Mexico, investigating cases, reviewing corporate documentation, managing a high‑volume queue and delivering evidence‑based recommendations while coordinating with Sales Ops, Fraud and Credit.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of hands‑on experience in Compliance Operations, KYC/KYB, AML/CFT, customer onboarding or related operational risk.
• Practical experience reviewing corporate documents, ownership structures, UBOs, legal representatives and powers of attorney.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to separate verified facts from assumptions.
• High attention to detail and ability to handle significant case volume while meeting deadlines and SLAs.
• Sound judgment and ability to make and explain evidence‑based recommendations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with changing priorities and evolving procedures.
• Experience reviewing customers or regulatory requirements in Brazil, Mexico or Colombia.
• Working knowledge of Portuguese or interest in learning it.
• Experience using spreadsheets to manage queues, analyze operational data or monitor compliance metrics.
• Familiarity with SQL, Python, workflow automation, N8N or AI‑assisted operational tools.
• Experience with case‑management or onboarding platforms.
