About the role
The Chief Engineer will own and lead the end‑to‑end architecture and delivery of a vehicle‑to‑mission interface layer that abstracts power, data, networking and control for mission kits, driving product design, production optimization and cross‑functional execution across hardware and software teams.

Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in mechanical or electrical engineering, computer science or a related field
- Proven experience designing new products and delivering hardware and software at scale
- 15+ years experience in complex system architecture and integration
- 5+ years experience leading multi‑disciplined teams developing software‑enabled hardware products
- Expertise in vehicle electrical and power systems (12‑28V architecture, conversion, distribution, load management)
- Expertise in embedded systems and ruggedized compute platforms
- Experience applying safety‑critical frameworks including hazard analysis and safety case development
- Proven ability to design systems with fault isolation, fail‑safe behavior and non‑interference to protect vehicle‑critical functions
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
- Master of Science in mechanical, electrical, systems engineering, computer science or related field (preferred)
- Strong technical, analytical and quantitative skills with data‑driven decision making (preferred)
- Experience with JIRA and Confluence (preferred)
- Exposure to land‑based systems, particularly DoD experience (preferred)
- Active Secret Clearance or higher (preferred)
