About the role

Behavioral Health Technicians monitor and assist adolescent clients in a residential setting, lead community‑adjustment activities, support therapeutic meals and outings, document observations, enforce policies and perform hourly room checks as part of the day‑to‑day client experience.

The organization provides residential eating‑disorder treatment, delivering individualized, evidence‑based behavioral health care to adolescents through a multidisciplinary team.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in a mental‑health related field (e.g., counseling, behavioral sciences) to meet Minnesota DHS licensure for Mental Health Rehabilitation Worker, or
  • High school diploma plus at least one year (2,000 hours) direct patient‑care experience in a mental/behavioral health setting.
  • Preferred: 6+ months direct client‑care or milieu experience in mental/behavioral health, especially with eating disorders.
  • Preferred: Completion of a Preceptor Program.
  • Valid driver’s license required for residential or inpatient sites.
  • Current Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire for residential or inpatient sites.
  • Current First Aid certification within 30 days of hire for residential or inpatient sites.
  • Current CPI certification within 30 days of hire for North Carolina or Georgia residential/inpatient sites.
  • Washington State Department of Health Food Handler permit within 30 days of hire for Washington residential sites.
