Accounts Receivable Specialist - NeuroNav

About the role

As a part‑time remote Accounts Receivable Specialist (20 hours/week) you will be the financial backbone of NeuroNav, managing accounts receivable, QuickBooks bookkeeping, and financial reporting while working closely with the CEO and bookkeeper, with potential to grow into a full‑time finance and operations position.

NeuroNav is a public benefit corporation founded at Stanford in 2020 that operates California’s largest independent Self‑Determination Program facilitator, using technology and a compassionate team to help adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities access and manage self‑directed Medicaid services; it is backed by Pear VC and scaling rapidly.

Requirements

• 3+ years of accounting, operations, or finance experience (5+ years preferred).
• 2+ years of bookkeeping experience.
• 2+ years of hands‑on experience with QuickBooks Online.
• Demonstrated experience with invoicing and account reconciliation.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong proficiency in Excel.
• Experience working in a CPA firm (preferred).
• Experience with medical billing or healthcare finance (preferred).
• 1+ years of finance/operations experience at a Series B or earlier‑stage startup (preferred).
• Experience in a customer‑facing role (preferred).
• Experience with general HR administration or PEO providers (preferred).
• Experience with strategic finance — forecasting, GAAP accounting, budgeting, or corporate planning (preferred).
